Martin Adie, designer and fabricator

Panel beating, automotive fabrication, stained glass, then SunDancer.

Martin Adie began training as a panel beater in Bristol, England in the early 1980s, developing metal fabrication skills over many years in the automotive industry.

His stained glass began as a hobby and grew into lamps, windows, Sun Dancers, candleholders, and combined steel-and-glass commissions. SunDancer Steel and Glass was created from the natural marriage of those two mediums.

Process

A custom quote starts with a real conversation.

01

Start with Martin

Call or email Martin Adie with the opening, room, function, style, and any images or measurements you already have.

02

Rough design consult

The initial consult, including a rough design, is free of charge before the project is approved.

03

Approve and build

A nonrefundable 50% down payment starts the work. After final design approval, construction begins.

04

Finish and deliver

Full payment is due on completion or delivery. Some work may be shipped outside the Albuquerque-area service region.

Pricing

Transparent variables, no one-size-fits-all estimate.

SunDancer aims for prices that are competitive with the market and favorable to both parties. The design process can be lengthy because design quality determines the finished piece.

What changes the quote

  • Fluctuating steel and material costs
  • Stained glass market pricing and glass style
  • Size and complexity of the design
  • Pattern setup and construction time
  • Cutting, piecing, soldering, and assembly
  • Finish choice: acid, patina, paint, clear coat, or powder coating

Powder coating is available at an additional cost. Contact Martin for current material pricing and a project quote.
